Age Limits Off Mobile Homes
Tuesday, 13 July 2010

July 13--  A new state law prohibits counties from setting age limits on mobile homes which are allowed to be located in a county.

In its July meeting Monday, the Montgomery County Commission announced plans to remove its 15-year age limit on mobile homes, and to amend its ordinance to require mobile homes to meet government standards and be immediately habitable upon installation in the county.

The commission also approved its new county manager ordinance and named current commission office manager David Curry to the new position.
