Onion Festival Children's Parade

April 22--  "Down on the Farm" is the theme of this year's Vidalia Onion Festival Children's Parade.  Over 50 youngsters took part in the parade late Thursday on Meadows Street in downtown Vidalia.  "Shop at Home" gift certificates were awarded to the kids with the best costumes.  Here's the list of winners from Gwen Warren of the parade committee.

Ages 0 - 3
1st place - Maddie Newell, Charlotte the Pig in a Wagon
2nd place - Haze Thigpen, Tractor with giant onion
3rd place - Conner Brinson, Tractor

Ages 4 - 7
1st place - Peyton Zimmer, Cowgirl
2nd place - Richard Haynes, cowboy with horse
3rd place - Cole Masterman-Smith, cowboy with hay in his outh

Ages 8 - 12
1st place - Ivan Brinson, barn
2nd place - Payton Phillips, farmer
3rd place - Cody Masterman-Smith, cowboy

1st place - Noah Morrison and Riley Galbreath
2nd place - Dallon Neesmith and Presley Neesmith
