A Grammy Is Her Goal

April 20--  One of the entertainers at this year's Vidalia Onion Festival has been busy since graduating from Toombs County High School last year.

Nineteen-year-old Lisa Taylor is majoring in Psychology at Brewton Parker, but her focus is on her music.

Image"My ultimate goal is to win a Grammy.  To get there, there's going to be a thousand steps and a lot of hard work.  I'm expecting a lot of obstacles, but I'm very determined and I'm ready to do shows whether it's in front of two people, two hundred or two thousand," she says.

Lisa signed a recording contract with "Stack That Entertainment" last Summer and has released her first album, "First Crush."  Her producer is Martin Luther Wardlaw of Vidalia and she believes "Bad Boy Crush" from the album has potential to be a commercial success.

Earlier this year Lisa performed a couple of concerts near Orlando and is inviting her hometown friends to catch her show Saturday night at Southeastern Tech in Vidalia.

"I want everybody to know that my album release concert is Saturday night and if you're not doing anything else Saturday night, come out and support me.  I'll be sharing the stage with the Wardlaw Brothers so it's sort of a mixture between gospel and pop," she says.
