Tea Party in Vidalia
Thursday, 15 April 2010

April 15--  Organizers estimate about 150 Tea Party patriots showed up for the Tax Day rally in Vidalia Thursday and coordinator Jim Anderson says the local group added 32 people to its rolls.

One lady said she came because she's losing her life's savings.  "I've worked all my adult life.  I put savings away to take care of my retirement and its all going away, so something needs to be done.  We all need to get into this Tea Party action," she said.

She also says she believes the effort to smear Tea Party members is because politicians are beginning to take the movement seriously and realize the role it can play in the November elections.
