Republicans Issue Tax Day Statement
Thursday, 15 April 2010

April 15--  Sue Everhart, chairman of the Georgia Republican Party released the following statement to coincide with April 15th, Tax Day:

“Georgians start paying the bill today for President Obama’s reckless tax-and-spend agenda, which includes the $862 billion stimulus plan and his $2.5 trillion health care takeover.

“Our nation faces numerous challenges right now, most importantly a failing job market and strained economy.  But President Obama only sees opportunities for more government, more spending and higher taxes.

“Americans are outraged as they watch Democrats go on a spending spree with money that doesn’t belong to them.  Our current fiscal path is unsustainable and no amount of creative accounting or artful rhetoric can hide the long-term damage that is being done to our economy.”
