Thursday, 25 February 2010

February 25--  Eight construction companies are expected to submit bids to build the combination automotive technology and career academy building on the campus of Southeastern Tech.

Dr. Barbara Christmas, interim CEO of the Southeastern Early College and Career Academy, says bids should be in by mid-March and that groundbreaking for the new multi-million dollar building could be as early as the end of March.

Meanwhile, Dr. Christmas says the first career academy course started this school term at Vidalia High School.  She says students from Toombs, Treutlen and Vidalia are enrolled in an automotive technology class at VHS.
