CrimeStoppers Approves Rewards

February 22--  The Vidalia-Area CrimeStoppers board approved rewards in three unsolved burglaries at its monthly meeting Monday night.

In one case, burglars hit the home of Crystal and Tony Thompson at 704 Old River Road twice in three days.  The first time , February 2nd, Crystal arrived home and found a man standing in her carport.  He fled and she saw a white Ford pickup truck driving slowly in the area he ran toward.  Inside, she found that jewelry valued at nearly $10,000 had been stolen.

Two days later her husband came home to find a smashed patio door and various computer games, computers and digital televisions mission from the residence.  The value is placed at over $5,000. 

Both burglaries happened in broad daylight.

In another case, John Joiner of 182 Northland Drive in Vidalia reports over $5,000 worth of computer and electronic equipment was stolen from his residence while he and his wife were out of town.

CrimeStoppers will pay a reward to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest in these cases.  You are not required to give your name to collect the cash reward.
