December 29-- A Toombs County grand jury has indicted two people for vehicular homicide and another for attempted murder. Willis James Sellers was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol in July when his vehicle hit a culvert and ejected and killed his passenger, Jack L. Halligan. Another indictment accuses Jose Torrez of being drunk and causing the death of Miguel Gonzalez when his car crossed the centerline on South Thompson Road and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle in May, 2008. The attempted murder indictment was returned against Wallace Holloway for the shooting of Laverne Holloway last January. Overall the November term of the grand jury returned 52 indictments before it recessed in mid-December. Over a third of the indictments were drug-related.
