Tuesday, 15 December 2009

December 15--  A traffic stop at 4:30 Sunday morning on U.S. One in Santa Claus resulted in a methamphetamine drug bust, according to Toombs County Sheriff Junior Kight.

The Sheriff says deputies found a substance which appeared to be methamphetamine and components for a meth lab in the car of 51-year-old Charles Ransom and 29-year-old Mellissa Ann Funderburg, both of Augusta.

Both were charged and taken to the Charles Durst Detention Center in Lyons.Image

A disposal expert under contract with the Drug Enforcement Administration came to the scene and disposed of the hazardous meth lab components found in the car.
