Vidalia Christmas Parade on TV

December 14--  The Downtown Vidalia Association reports this year's Vidalia Christmas Parade will be on WTOC-TV two times.  The first broadcast is Saturday, December 19 at one p.m. with the second broadcast scheduled for Christmas morning at eight o'clock.

Pictured here in the winning float in this year's parade sponsored by the South Central Dance Academy (Thanks to Kathy Bradford at the Advance for the photo).  Second place went to Cross Timbers Baptist Church and third place was awarded to the Lyons First Baptist Church Children's Ministry.

South Central also won first place in the commercial category in the Lyon's Lighted Christmas Parade with Nip & Tuck Nursery coming in second.  First place in the education classification was won by the Toombs County 4-H with Lyons Primary School PTO placing second.  In the church category, Lyons First Baptist came in first followed by the Oak Park Church of God.
