December 9--  Police are looking for thieves who stole a school van and tires in Montgomery County.

Sheriff Clarence Sanders says a 15-passenger van and 24 bus tires were stolen Tuesday night from the Montgomery County school bus shop in Mount Vernon.

The van was found submerged in the Oconee River just west of Mount Vernon early Wednesday.  There was no trace of the tires, the sheriff says.
