Parents Urged to Get Involved

October 21--  The Montgomery County School System is urging parents to get involved in their child's education.  A series of meetings is scheduled to involve parents.

"The Montgomery County School System would like to invite parents to
participate in updating the schools' parent involvement policies. Separate meetings will be held for each school in order to create a policy designed for each school's unique circumstances and parent needs.
 
The meetings will take place on Monday, October 26, 2009 at different times and locations.
 
Parents of elementary aged students are invited to participate in a meeting at 12:00 PM in the old media center at the Montgomery Elementary School.
 
Parents of middle school students are invited to attend a meeting which will be held in the evening at 6:00PM in the multi-purpose room at the Montgomery County High School.
 
Parents of high school aged students are asked to
attend a meeting at 7:30 PM in the multi-purpose room at the high school.
Invitations have been sent to every parent through the students at
each school.
 
Parents who are not able to attend may provide input concerning
parent involvement via email. Please send comments to Kathy Bevan,
