October 6-- Get on your overalls and old-fashioned attire and come on down to the Sixteenth Annual “Ole Time Farm Festival.” The festival will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 16, 17, 18 in downtown Uvalda, located on U.S. 221 between Mt. Vernon and Hazlehurst.

We will have a street dance on Friday night beginning at 9:00 PM. A parade of horses, mules, wagons, buggies, and old time tractors Saturday Morning 10:00 AM. Then a gospel sing will begin Saturday evening at 8:00 PM. An old fashioned church service will be held downtown Sunday morning at 9:00 AM.

Arts and Crafts vendors will be located around town with lots of hand-crafted items for sale. Plus we will be having live entertainment throughout the weekend.

For the Youngsters there will be pony rides, train rides, and kiddy rides. Line dancers, square dancers, cloggers, county singers, and gospel singers will provide entertainment throughout the weekend at the stage on the front stage.

Lookin’ for some good home-cookin’ then you should know that food will be prepared by the Uvalda Volunteer Fire Department. They will be serving delicious BBQ Sandwiches, Hamburgers, and Hotdogs. Our local vendors Funnel Cakes, cotton candy, boiled peanuts, popcorn, and other homemade items such as fresh churned ice-cream will be available and more for our vendors.

Camping spaces are available for those wishing to spend the weekend. For more information please contact Mrs. Shirley Dopson at 912-594-6402 or 912-594-6316 or Lesli Garrett at 912-565-7786.
