Habitat House Needs a Little Help
Friday, 02 October 2009

October 5-- The Vidalia-Area Habitat for Humanity is currently working on its eighth house in Toombs County.

"We started the house about a month ago.  Right now, we've got the walls up, the roof is complete, wiring is complete and we're getting ready to start running the plumbing," says Habitat's Howard Hill.

The house is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Peacock Street in Vidalia and is one of three houses planned for that location.

Habitat is made up of volunteers and could use more.  "We can always use good volunteers to help us build a house whether they are experienced or not," Hill says.
