Foster Pet Success Story
Wednesday, 02 September 2009

September 2--  There are a number of area families who assist the Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society by providing foster homes to homeless animals.  This helps relieves overcrowding at animal shelters in Vidalia and Lyons and provides the pet with a safe environment while waiting to be adopted.  SOAPS holds Foster Pet Adopt-A-Thons ever so often at Tractor Supply in Vidalia where folks looking for a pet can come and see available foster pets.  The picture below tells the rest of the story.

Jaiden and Jamison Hulett have a new best friend. They adopted this very energetic black Labrador from the local chapter of the SOAPS program. Her name is Georgia. She is very affectionate and loves to play and dig! She's an excellent watchdog and always is ready for fun. She also came with all her shots and was spayed. Her sister, Boots, found a home with the kids' grandparents.
