Montgomery Holds Line on Property Taxes

July 24--  A month ago, Montgomery County commissioners thought they might have to raise property taxes to pay for county operations in 2010.  However, they went back to the drawing board, made some cuts in their budget, and Thursday night, after three public hearings, voted against any tax increase.

Officials say the property tax rate in 2010 in Montgomery County will be 10.8 mils, the same as this year.
