Top Bulldogs

May 21--  The two top Bulldogs academically in the Class of 2009 at Toombs County High School are Valedictorian Chelsea Coursey and Salutatorian Daniel NeSmith.

Image"I was kind of surprised because Daniel is a very good competitor.  I am just very excited because I kept my grades up and I'm very happy," Chelsea says.  Her plans are to study radiology at Ogeeche Tech and return home to "serve my community."

Daniel NeSmith says it's been a goal of his to be tops in his class ever since his second grade teacher told him he had the ability.  He's off to the University of Georgia and then plans to attend seminary. After that, "I'm not really sure, wherever God leads me, I'd like to work with youth in this area and perhaps on some missions overseas and here," he says.

Bulldog graduation is planned for Saturday morning at nine o'clock at Booster Stadium.  In case of rain, it will be held indoors at the Toombs Middle School gymnasium.
