May 18--  Toombs-Montgomery Crimestoppers are offering cash rewards in four local crimes.

At its May meeting Monday night, the local CrimeStoppers Board voted to pay cash for information leading to arrests in two armed robberies and two burglaries.

On February 6th, two thousand dollars was taken in an armed robbery of the Penny Wise convenience store at the corner of Highway 280 and Montgomery Street.  Police have store video of a large black male whom they have been unable to identify.

On January 29th, a person wearing a black hood and white mask used a gun to take $400 from a clerk at J&T Foods near the intersection of Highway 280 and Adams Street.

CrimeStoppers is also offering a cash reward in two burglaries.

On April 24th, Adam Williams reported a trailer loaded with a fuel tank and pump was stolen from a job site on Raymond Rollison Road in Lyons.  The stolen property is valued at $4,000.

A cash reward will be paid for an arrest in the break-in and theft of several items from the Ohoopee Holiness Church on Highway 86 East in Lyons.  The burglary happened sometime between Friday, April 17th and Sunday, April 19th. The burglar entered the building through a window and stole music instruments and a television with a total value of $400.

If you have information on any of these crimes, you may receive a cash reward from the Toombs-Montgomery CrimeStoppers, a private not-for-profit organization trying to solve crimes and make the community a safer place to live.

All phone calls to CrimeStoppers are anonymous and you do not have to give your name to get a cash reward if an arrest is made.  The toll free CrimeStoppers number is 1-866-439-6313.
