May 14--  When the Class of 2009 at Toombs County High School graduates next week, two of its members have something pretty special in common.

Seniors Morgan Lothridge (left) and Megan Amanda Morris (right) have never missed a day of school. They've been there everyday since they were in pre-kindergarten. Morgan says it's how she was brought up. "When I was younger my parents encouraged me to go to school everyday and now I'm a very scheduled person so it's really easy for me to just get up and go," she says.

Morgan remembers one day in second grade when she almost missed school because of the chicken pox, but she went anyway.  She says she decided in middle school to make perfect attendance a goal, one she will achieve next weekend at Booster Stadium.

As for college, she has no plans to cut classes.  "Well, I really don't think I'll not be able to go to school, so I'll be there every single day," she says.

Megan is the STAR Student this year at Toombs County High School and has already completed one year of college at  Brewton Parker as she graduates Saturday morning.

"When I was in elementary school, my parents made sure I went to school everyday.  Luckily, I never really got sick, but when I got to Middle School and High School, I became more involved in more activities and it was harder to make it to school everyday, but I just wanted to keep the record up since it had gone on for so long," Megan says.
