Contractor Offers to Run Montgomery Recycling Center
Monday, 11 May 2009

May 11--  A Baxley recycling company and the Montgomery County Commission are expected to sign an agreement next month for the company to run the county's recycling center.

V-4 Recycling and Equipment would get a three-year, rent-free deal from the county in return for collecting and processing recyclables including tires from county residents.

At their May meeting Monday night, Montgomery commissioners were told up to 85 percent of the cost to repair flood-damaged roads will be paid by the federal government.

They also agreed to buy two new patrol cars for the sheriff's department and called a working meeting for May 18th to discuss county road department operations.
