HUD Agrees to Guarantee MRMC Financing

April 22--  The project to build a new hospital in Vidalia passes another hurdle.  The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has approved the application from Meadows Regional Medical Center to guarantee a construction loan for the project.

Meadows CEO Alan Kent says the approval means the hospital can proceed to the next step of securing financing for the estimated $75 to $80 million dollar medical center.  He's hopeful construction can start this summer on the site located on U.S. 280 across the road from the Meadows Wellness Center.
