TEA Party Protests

April 15--  Average Americans, young and old, rallied Wednesday around the country to voice their displeasure about government spending and taxes.


"Taxed Enough Already" (TEA) parties were held all over the nation and around here in Baxley, Higgston and Vidalia.

Those in attendance felt they were being ignored by Congress and were critical of out of control federal spending and the load of debt being placed on future generations.  Most said they hoped TEA Party movement would grow into an organized effort to reform the federal government's spending and taxing policies.
