Real Squeal Country Concert
Tuesday, 19 August 2014

August 19-- Lyons native and country music singer and songwriter Craig Campbell is coming home to perform at The Real Squeal Lyons Barbecue and Music Festival Friday, October 10.

Craig will headline the 2014 festival on Friday night after the downtown activities.

Lyons Main Street and the festival committee will kick off the 5th annual festival in downtown Lyons with an amateur BBQ contest, street dance, great barbeque, traditional festival food, a classic car cruise-in and cruise-out and fireworks.

ImageThe Craig Campbell concert will be a ticketed event held directly behind Lyons City Hall immediately following the fireworks show. Concert tickets may be purchased online at www.therealsqueal.com .  Advanced tickets are $20, at the gate $25.

The concert is not the only thing new for the 2014 festival.

On Saturday, October 11th, head to Partin Park and visit Jim Sawgrass’ Native American Southeastern Village.

Cheer on the “Guns and Hoses” as the local law enforcement departments challenge the local fire departments in a 1-pitch softball game.

Meet Gail Mirabella and The DynamoDogs as they perform 3 shows in the park.

You’ll still find the professional barbeque competition, the People’s Choice BBQ tasting and judging event, arts and crafts, live music, the kid’s creative play area, the professional chainsaw carvers’ show, and the classic car show.

The Car Show always entertains the crowd by cruising out of the park about 3 p.m.

Also, bring your latest finds to the Native American Artifacts Show to have them dated and documented by an archeologist.

Put your adventurous skills to the test at the RazorBack Mud Run, new start time is at 1 p.m, or participate in the Trap & Skeet Shootout at the Quint Shrine Club.

Visit www.therealsqueal.com for tickets and details on all the activities.  Call 912-526-6445 or send email to bhtlyons@nctv.com for more information.
