The Paul Anderson Youth Home Cycling Challenge finished Wednesday afternoon with the bike riders pedaling their way back into Vidalia at the Paul Anderson Youth Home. The riders covered 560 miles in a week from Vidalia to Statesboro, Augusta, Athens, Jonesboro and Macon and back to Vidalia.

“ It was amazing, the guys did a phenomenal job. Today was hot with 103 miles to go they just plugged along and didn’t let the heat, rain or anything else break them down. They were focused on their goal with an end in mind and as they got closer and closer they realized they were going to achieve it. I think that’s the habit we want to build in life and that is for everybody, we want those kind of habits.” Drew Read of the Paul Anderson Youth Home said.

Jessie a first time rider says he learned a lot from the ride.

“ I thought it was awesome and a great accomplishment. I thought all of the boys did great. One of the biggest things that I learned from the ride was that if I just put my mind to it and I am determined enough that I can accomplish anything that I want,” he said.
