VHS Named GHSA Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Winner

July 11—The Georgia High School Association announced this week the winners of the forty-eight member high schools that will receive the 2014 Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award and Vidalia High School was the winning school from Region 2AA The award is sponsored by the Georgia Electric Membership Corporation and honors schools and communities that demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship during the year.

 

“ We are really proud of our kids and coaches, it is a great reflection of the work that they are doing. We are glad that the GHSA and also EMC are recognizing honesty, responsibility and fairness in athletics. We had a fantastic year with winning the Director’s Cup for the region and also finishing seventh overall in the state. And now to receive this award is just icing on the cake.” VHS Principal John Sharpe said.
