June 9--Mrs. Marjorie W. Peacock, age 76 of Vidalia, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  She was a native of Treutlen County and was a 1956 Graduate of Soperton High School.  She moved to Atlanta in 1957, and has lived in Vidalia since 1960.  She and her husband were the owners of Fred Peacock Communications in Vidalia for many years. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Peacock; and parents, Jake A. and Willis and Annie Webb Willis.

Mrs. Peacock is survived by two sons, Derrick Peacock and wife Candy of Peachtree City, and Jody Peacock and wife Sandra of Vidalia; four grandsons, Joshua, Jacob and wife Julianne, Jared, and Bradley Peacock; two sisters, Ruby Walker and husband Buck of Treutlen County, Linda Dykes and husband James of Vidalia, three brothers, James Edward Willis and wife Jackie, Freddie Willis and wife Gail all of Treutlen County, and Bobby Willis and wife Doris of Laurens County; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 12:30 until just prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Peacock requested memorial contributions be made to the Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 160, Vidalia GA 30475, or the Community Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 2277, Vidalia GA 30475.

Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of arrangements.
