Two VHS Indians Sign With Apprentice School

May 14—Two VHS senior athletes Jermaine Morris and Shakeem Lassiter signed letters of intent to play football at The Apprentice School in Newport News, Virginia. Lassiter will also join the wrestling team at the school.

“ It is a great opportunity for me to be successful, I want to have a family one day and be able to support them with a good job and this is the first step in that direction. I want to thank my mother and my coaches for their help and support.” Lassiter said.

"This is a great opportunity to get to play football once again and to have the chance to get a good job and become successful. I want to thank God, my family, coaches and everybody that has helped my over the years.” Morris said. 

VHS Coach Lee Chomskis said, “ We are very proud of Jermaine and Shakeem, they are both very fine young men. The Apprentice School has been very good to some of our athletes over the years and I am looking for great things from both of them.
