Montgomery Co Eagles Compete At Georgia Olympics

The Montgomery County Eagles Track & Field team competed at the 43rd annual Georgia Olympics on May 8th-10th in Jefferson. The Eagles had 3 student athletes place in 4 different events and finished in the top 15 in the single A public classification. 

Coach Suttles was very proud of the performance. He stated, "It was a very good season for us. We finished as the runner up in our area and were able to get on the podium 4 differnt times at the state meet. I couldn't be happier with the kids work and improvement they have shown over the last 3 or so months!"

Brandon Carswell placed 5th in the discus at the 2014 Georgia Olympics.
Juan Gonzalez placed 6th in the 1600 meter run and 5th in the 3200 meter run and set new personal best times and new school records in both events.
Israel Sanchez placed 6th in the 3200 meter run.
