Mr. Jay Mosley, Vidalia

May 9-- Mr. Jay M. Mosley, age 63, of Vidalia, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. 

He was a native of Toombs County, lived there until moving to Milan twenty-three years ago, and recently moved back to Vidalia.  He was the former owner of Badcock Furniture in Commerce, and previously was the assistant manager of the original opening of Wal-Mart in Vidalia. 

He was a 1969 graduate of the Vidalia High School, and was a member of the North Thompson Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Eunice Sowell Mosley; and four siblings, Bobby, Billy, Johnny, and Emily Mosley.

Mr. Mosley is survived by his wife, Rhonda Sanders Mosley; one daughter, Jaymie Mosley Reynolds and husband Caleb; two grandchildren, Jaylin and Travis Reynolds; one brother, Jack Mosley and wife Fay all of Vidalia; one brother-in-law, Jack Sanders and wife Tabby of Eastman; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Don Moye officiating.  Burial will follow in the North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
