Guilty Plea Entered in Altamaha Bank Case

April 30--  A Vidalia woman has pleaded guilty to embezzling money while she was employed at Altamaha Bank and Trust Company in Vidalia.

Fifty-year-old Becky Ann King pled guilty to one count at a plea hearing April 22 before U.S. District Court Judge Dudley Bowen in Dublin.  King admitted to taking $7,432.00 from the bank on December 21, 2012.

According to federal officials, King transferred more than $250,000 from the bank to personal accounts at least a hundred times during a six-year period from 2007 to 2013.

Sentencing will be handed down at a later date, according to court records.
