Monday, 28 April 2014

April 28--  Rewards are being offered for information in two shootings in Vidalia.

The reward in the case of a convenience store owner is being increased from $3,000 to $5,000.

According to Vidalia Police Lieutenant Jimmy Sims, the family of Harry Patel wants to find who killed Patel the night of December 16th on Manning Drive not far from his Fast Break store in Vidalia.  The reward will be paid by the family if information resulting in an arrest is forthcoming.

In another case, Crimestoppers is offering $500 in the case of a man and woman who were shot at 610 Fifth Avenue on April 6.

Police say shots fired from outside a window hit Sanquinton Brown and Nygeria Green while they were in bed.  Both have recovered, officers report.

If you have information regarding either of these cases, call the Crimestopper Hotline at 1-866-439-6313.  All calls are anonymous.
