Mrs. Patsy Keairns, Alston

April 20-- Mrs. Patsy Cox Keairns, age 65 of Alston, died Friday, April 18, 2014 in the Community Hospice House after a sudden illness on Tuesday. 

She was a native of Lyons, and lived there all of her life until moving to Alston twelve years.  She was a homemaker, Baptist by faith, and enjoyed the outdoors. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Patrick Cox and Reba Frances Lewis Cox; two sisters, Tommie Lou Braddy and Peggy Fields; and a brother, Randy Lewis.

Mrs. Keairns is survived by two sons, Patrick Cox and wife Leslie of Alston, and Ricky Cox and wife Belinda of Glennville; one sister, Ruth Lewis and husband “Junior” of Savannah; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 21st at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Corley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from

6:00 until 8:00.

The family will assemble at the residence of Emory and Diana Turner, 655 Sharpe Cemetery Road.

Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of arrangements.
