April 13-- Mr. Leamon Knight age 75 of Lyons, GA entered into eternal rest on April 10, 2014 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, Georgia.

Mr. Leamon Knight was born to the parentage of the late Herman and Lillie Mae Knight in Dublin, Georgia on March 8, 1938. He is preceded in death by his Brothers Herman Knight Jr.; and Raymond Knight and his Sister Lois Knight Spikes.

He was a member of Live Oak Church of God In Christ and served on the Deacon Board for several years.  Leamon worked for Stanley Farms for 43 Years until he was unable to work.  He was a Family Man, loved to help others, and very dependable.  He loved his grandchildren and was the Best Father and Grandfather anyone could ask for.  Fishing was one of his hobbies.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his Loving, Caring, and Devoted wife: Fannie Mae Knight of Lyons, GA. Two Sons:  LaShone (LaKisha) Bobbitt of Warner Robins, GA; Shannon (Clarissa) Bobbitt of Vidalia, GA. Two Grandsons he raised: Eryc (Adachia) Bobbitt; Shannon Bobbitt, Jr. A Granddaughter he raised: Kim Williams.  Nine Granchildrens:  Kiana;  Regina; LaShone Jr.; Alex; Thomas III; Jaylon; Christopher Jr.; Danyaille; and Jadyn.  Six Great Grandchildrens:  Mark; Gary; Tamile; LeNiya; E’Miya; and Mila.  One Brother: James (Romie) Knight of Lyons, GA.  Two Sisters: Lillian Smith of Gainesville, GA; and Martha (Michael) Jones of Hephzibah, GA.  One Aunt:  Nina Ford of Detroit, MN.  Eight Sister-in-Laws:  Gladys Lane of Statesboro, GA; Dorothy Nell Knight; Pastor Queen Jackson; Alberta Carter all of Lyons, GA; Zelma (Joe) Simpson of Reidsville, GA; Diane Bobbitt of Boston, MA; Bobbie Jean Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; and Shelia Marshall of Atlanta, GA.  Four Brother-in-Laws:  Benny Ray Spikes of Lyons, GA; Raymond Bobbitt of Broxton, GA; Willie James Bobbitt of Atlanta, GA; and Richard (Mary) Bobbitt of Brunswick, GA.  A Loving and Devoted Goddaughter:  LaShawna (Christopher) Andrews of Atlanta, GA.  A Special and Loving Niece Shelia Holland of Reidsville, GA.  And a host of other loving relatives and friends also survived.

Public Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 12 Noon to 7 PM from the Chapel of Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1:00 PM from the Sanctuary of First African Baptist Church in Lyons, GA.  Rev. Clint McLeod, Sr., Pastor; Superintendent Freddie Lewis Eulogist. Interment will be held in Macon Cemetery in Lyons, GA.

Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
