Mrs. Peggy Riner, Vidalia

April 4-- Mrs. Peggy Thompson Riner, age 78, of Vidalia, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. 

She was a native of Toombs County, living in Savannah and Milledgeville for several years, and Vidalia most of her life.  She was a homemaker, and previously worked at Savannah Luggage Works. 

She attended Lakeside Baptist Church in Vidalia, and was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Louise Knies Thompson; and a brother, Billy Thompson.

Mrs. Riner is survived by her husband, Bobby Riner; two children, Debbie W. Pittman and Jimmy Warren and wife Gwen; three step-children, Marcia Copeland and husband Gene, Jonah Riner, and Reverend Greg Riner all of Vidalia; three sisters, Ida Lou Gay and husband Roger of Aiken, South Carolina, Judy Bryant and husband Ronnie of Guyton, and Kathy Thompson of Savannah; five grandchildren, Heather Cook of Vidalia, Christi Kohrig of Stafford, Virginia, Tiffany Morgan and husband A.J. of Claxton, Chris Warren and Kimberly Warren of Vidalia; two great-grandchildren, A.J. and Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, April 6th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Andrews and Kenny Bryant officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:30 until just prior to the service.
