Mrs. Lila Grace Daniels Devore- Vidalia

March 27---Mrs. Lila Grace Daniels Devore, age 81 of Vidalia, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in the Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia after an extended illness.  She was a native of the Cedar Crossing Community, living in Wadley twenty-five years, and in Vidalia most of her life.  She was a 1950 graduate of Toombs Central High School, and later from Augusta Tech.  She was a licensed practical nurse, an emergency medical technician, and also worked in garment factories for thirty years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, W.L. Devore; sister, Cornelia Daniels Davis; and brother, J.A. Rogers.

Mrs. Devore is survived by one son, James Delton McDonald and wife Marla of Vidalia; daughter, Janie McDonald Casey and husband Jamie of Johnson City, Tennessee; step-daughter, Cheryl Devore Unterfenger of McHenry, Illinois; one sister, Jean Colson of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Jonathan McDonald of Vidalia, Daniel McDonald of Lynchburg, Virginia, Joey Casey and wife Tara, and Emily Casey both of Johnson City; six step-grandchildren, Patti Devore Williamson, Hope Devore Scott and husband Adam, Ben Devore, Matthew Unterfenger, Tommy Unterfenger, and Katie Unterfenger.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 29th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Don Moye and Daniel McDonald officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
