Heritage Archery Finishes Strong

March 26-- The Vidalia Heritage Archery teams competed in their last regular tournament at Bulloch Academy on Saturday, March 22, as several archers shot their personal-best scores of this first season.
Helen Kate Baird, a sixth-grader, led all VHA shooters with a 274 (including 9 bull's-eyes worth 10 points each),  4th grader Mason Beacham scored a 269 with 6 bull's-eyes, Sophomore Kaylee Randolph fired a 262 with 6 in the bull's eye, and Jason Powell hit seven 10-pointers and finished with a 261 total.
The other VHA archers' scores were: Clay Page-254, Bailey Gilliam-231, Hugh Baird-231, Jonathan Morris-228, Autumn Carroll-215, Colt Reddick-211, Macy Todd-206, Caleb Proenza-202, Victoria Horton-197,  Devin Burrell-201, Cameron Gilliam-194, Torie Lane-185, Dalton Henriott-178.

The Elementary team won the Region 6 Title and will compete in the NASP State Tournament on April 8 in Perry, Georgia. Helen Kate Baird and Jason Powell will compete as individuals at State because they finished in the top 5 in their age groups at Region.
There will be an Intramural Archery Tournament at VHA on April 11 to end this inaugural competitive archery season.
