Mrs. Annie McGahee, Kibbee

March 26-- Mrs. Annie Jesteen McGahee, age 88, of the Kibbee Community died Monday, March 24, 2014 in the Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia after an extended illness. 

She was born in Sardis, Georgia and grew up in Treutlen County.  She has lived in Kibbee since 1955 and retired from Oxford Industries after seventeen years.  She was a member of the former Snow Hill Church of God and was preceded in death by an infant son; parents, Horace and Thelma Davis Beasley; and siblings, William, Charlie, Wesley, Susie, and Lillian.

Mrs. McGahee is survived by six children, J.W. McGahee, Paul McGahee and wife Wanda, Jackie Miller and husband Mike all of Kibbee, Wayne Marsh of Soperton, Betty Brooks and husband Mike of Richmond Hill, and Olivia Marsh of South Carolina; one brother, Walter Beasley and wife Mary of Defuniak Springs, Florida; two sisters, Reba Faircloth and husband Roy of Jeffersonville, and Naomi Powell of Portal; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Bishop Gilbert Wommack and Faye Wilcox officiating.  Burial will follow at a later date in the Braddy Cemetery.
