March 6---Mr. Billy Kato, age 71, of Fort Meyers, Florida died on Monday, March 3, 2014, in Lehigh Acres, FL.  

Billy Kato was born on November 11, 1942, in Collins, GA, he was the one of six children born to Elijah & Sara Kato.  In the late 1950s he moved to Miami, worked and started a family.

He loved to fish and socialize with his friends and neighbors. Although Billy did not attend church he made a profession of faith to the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his Wife: Mildred Kato; Daughter: Shanay Kato; Step-Son: Alveron Jackson; Brother: Eugene Kato; and Sister: Mary Alice Lee.

He leaves to cherish his memory his Children: Gail Kato, Kalvin Kato, and Alvin Kato, Step-Daughters: Marsha Conley; and Brenda Stephens.  Grandchildren:  Fonda Jackson; Sidney Jackson; Felicia Jackson; Jennifer Kelly; Cal Stephens; Tia Stephens; and Ki’twan Kato.  One Great-Granddaughter:  Cameron West, and One Great-Grandson: Jackson West.  One Sister: Sarah Ann Stevens, and One Brother: Harry Kato.   A host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends also survived.

Public Visitation will be held at Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home in Vidalia, Georgia on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 3:00 PM from the Sanctuary of Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Collins, Georgia.  Rev. J. K. Smith is the Pastor; Bishop Vincent R. Drummer will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Wilkinson Cemetery in Collins, Georgia.

Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
