March 3-- Mr. George Patrick, Jr., age 79, of the Normantown Community, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his home after an extended illness.  He was born in the Modoc Community in Emanuel County and has lived in Toombs County all of his life.  He worked in the heating and air conditioning business for more than fifty years, was Baptist by faith, and enjoyed playing the guitar, and hunting and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George Patrick, Sr. and Murttie Randall Patrick; and daughter, Janet Patrick Turner.

Mr. Patrick is survived by his wife, Trellis Patrick of Normantown; seven children, Roger Patrick and wife Lula of Normantown, Steve Patrick and wife Sharon, Jerry Patrick and wife Debra all of Belton, South Carolina,

David “Buddy” Patrick, Dan Patrick both of Normantown, Rhonda Turner and husband James of Stillmore, and Sheila Patrick of Normantown; two brothers, Cleo Patrick and wife Betty of Mt. Vernon, and Charles Patrick of Vidalia; two sisters, Coreese Hickox of Macclenny, Florida, and Betty Hargrove of Jacksonville, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 4th at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Poppell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
