Lady Indians and Indians Semi Final Opponents Set

February 14--  The Vidalia Lady Indians will meet the girls from St. Vincents of Savannah in the semi-finals of the Region 2-AA basketball tournament.

St. Vincents defeated the Metter Lady Tigers Thursday afternoon at Toombs County Middle School in Lyons to reach the semi's. This will be the 2nd meeting of the season between the two teams with the Lady Indians taking the win 50-37 in Savannah on December 13th.

The Lady Indians play at four p.m. Friday at Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon.

The other girls' semi-final match is between McIntosh County and Bryan County at seven p.m. Friday. 

The winners will play the title game Saturday evening at seven p.m.  The consolation game is at four p.m. Saturday.

Meanwhile, in boys action, the Vidalia Indians will face Bryan Co. in the first boys semi-final. The Redskins shocked the #2 seeded Cadets of Bendedictine 53-42 Thursday in Lyons.

This will be the 3rd meeting of the year between the Indians and Redskins, with Vidalia sweeping the regular season games 91-45 on Jan 10th at home and 91-52 in Pembroke.

The Indians play at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Brewton-Parker.

The other boys' semi-final is at 8:30 p.m. Friday between McIntosh County Academy and Jeff Davis County.

The winners will play the region championship game at 8:30 Saturday night with the consolation game at 5:30 p.m.
