Titans Hire Eason as Assistant Coach
Thursday, 13 February 2014

February 13—Former Toombs Co Bulldog and NFL player Nick Eason has a new job. Nick has been hired as an assistant defensive line coach for the Tennessee Titans.

“ I worked last year with the Cleveland Browns under Ray Horton now with Tennessee and I played for him in Arizona and also Titans new Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt. They know me very well and it’s a chance of a lifetime. It has been an easy transition from player to coach. The players respect me as a coach because they know I have been in the NFL and know what it takes to be successful.” Eason said.

" Being a student of the game helped me be a better coach. Putting in the time and long hours doesn't bother me. I had only been retired for one year when I got the opportunity with Cleveland. It was a real blessing and I thankful." Eason stated.

Eason had a 10-year NFL career as a defensive lineman for the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals. He played in 117 games during his career and played on the 2009 Pittsburgh Steeler team that won Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa.
