Heritage Academy Archery Teams Compete

February 11--The Vidalia Heritage Archery Team competed at the Bulloch Academy Invitational Tournament on Saturday, February 8 against 3 other schools and several VHA archers shot well in their grade divisions.  Helen Kate Baird won first place in the Middle School group for females, with a total score of 268 out of 300 possible points. Her brother, Hugh Baird, won 2nd place in the 4th grade division for males while Colt Reddick came in 3rd. In the 4th grade girls' group, Lydia Sammons won 1st place and Victoria Horton took 3rd place. Garrett Mullins was the 3rd place winner in the 5th grade boys' group and Clay Page won 3rd place in the 8th grade group. Clay shot a perfect score of 50 points during one round of his flight.

The Heritage Academy archers are preparing for the NASP Region 5 tournament at Johnson County High School on February 15, as the top finishers at region will compete at the State Tournament in Perry, Georgia, for the opportunity to go to the National Tournament in May.
