Mr. Glen Nasworthy- Johnson Corner

January 27---Mr. Glen Nasworthy, age 77, of Johnson Corner, died Monday, January 27, 2014 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  He was a native of Emanuel County, lived in Effingham County for nineteen years, and moved to Toombs County in 1993.  He retired from the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard after thirty-two years as a Master Sergeant, and was a veteran of Vietnam.  He was a licensed pest control operator and was a associated with Rustin Raiders.  He attended the Rocky Creek Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his parents, George Recy Nasworthy and Sadie Missouri Wilson Nasworthy; and a son-in-law, Brad Bell.

Mr. Nasworthy is survived by his wife, Glenda Toole Nasworthy; two daughters, Gina Bell and Gloria Phillips and husband Tyler all of Johnson Corner; five grandchildren, Kristin Bell, Anna Bell, Matthew Tanner, T.J. Phillips, and Avery Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 29th at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Black, Reverend Mark Jones and Russ NeeSmith officiating.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 1:00.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 2277, Vidalia GA 30475.

Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of arrangements.
