Candler Voters To Have Hospital Say
Friday, 13 February 2009

February 13--  Voters in Candler County apparently will have a chance to vote on whether the county should continue providing financial help to the county hospital.

The Metter Advertiser reports the Candler County Commission will seek a local referendum whereby voters can have a say in continued county funding of the financially troubled hospital.

Candler County taxpayers are already helping the hospital with some $20,000 a month to pay for indigent care and for a bank loan.
