BPC Holiday Classic Scores For Thursday

December 26--The VHS Indians defeated the Tattnall Co Battle Creek Warriors 94-45 Thursday at the 2013 Brewton-Parker College Basketball Holiday Classic. The Indians started the game with a 15-0 run and led 27-12 at the end of the 1st period. Vidalia increased the lead to 56-28 at halftime and led 81-39 at the end of the 3rd period. Ramel Thompkins scored 17 points, Alton McCloud had 15 points, Dashon Holloway with 14 points and Jordan Black had 13 points to lead the Indians. Vidalia is now 9-0 for the year and will travel to Tifton to play in the 4th Annual McDonald's Invitational Tournament starting Friday at 6:00pm against Lake Wells.

The VHS Lady Indians lost to the Tattnall Co Lady Warriors 56-36. The Lady Indians fell behind early and trailed 21-12 at the end of the 1st period and were behind 32-20 at the half. Trinity Hamm led the Lady Indians with 8 points in the loss. Vidalia is now 6-3 for the year and will play Liberty Co Friday at 1:00pm at BPC.

The Montgomery Co Eagles defeated the Toombs Co Bulldogs 74-63. The Eagles led 27-14 at the end of the 1st period and 47-34 at the half. The Eagles had four players in double figures in scoring. Montgomery Co Boys will play the Jeff Davis Yellow Jackets Friday at 7:00pm. Toombs Co will play the Telfair Co Trojans Friday at 11:30am at BPC.

The Montgomery Co Lady Eagles beat the Toombs Co Lady Bulldogs 68-49. The Lady Eagles led 30-24 at the half and 51-32 at the end of the 3rd period. Shavanda Johnson led Montgomery Co with 32 points. The Lady Eagles will play the Jeff Davis Lady Yellow Jackets Friday at 5:30 pm at BPC. The Toombs Co Lady Bulldogs will take on the Telfair Co Lady Trojans at 10:00am Friday at BPC.
