December 20--- In local high school basketball action Friday night the Vidalia Indians won both games against the Montgomery Co Eagles in Mt Vernon. The Lady Indians winning 63-40. Vidalia led 12-6 at the end of the 1st period and 24-13 at the half. The Lady Eagles pulled to within 5 points in the 3rd period, but trailed 37-28 by the end of the period.

Trinity Hamm led Vidalia in scoring with 16 points and Chynna Hodge had 12 points. The Lady Indians are 6-2 for the year. Jotoya Locke led the Lady Eagles with 11 points and Sharanda Johnson scored 10 points.

Jordan Black Drives to the Hoop Against Montgomery County

The Vidalia Indian Boys defeated the Montgomery Co Eagle Boys 87-28. The Indians led 35-2 at the end of the 1st period and 57-15 at halftime. Jordan Black led the Indians in scoring with 17 points and Ramel Thompkins had 10 points. The Indians are now 8-0 for the year.

The Toombs Co Lady Bulldogs picked up a region win on the road in Long Co 48-36. Deavia Howard led Toombs Co with 12 points and Megan Meadows had 10 points.

The Toombs Co Boys lost to the Long Co Blue Tide Boys 73-67.
