December 15--In local high school basketball action Saturday the VHS Indians split their games against the 5A Richmond Hill Wildcats at the H Ralph Parsons gymnasium. The VHS Boys defeated the Wildcats 63-22. Ramel Thompkins led the Indians in scoring with 10 points. The Indians improve to 6-0 for the season

The Lady Wildcats defeated the Lady Indians 55-51. Richmond Hill led 26-22 at the half, but Vidalia battled back to take the lead 34-33 with 3:00 left in the 3rd period and 43-39 at the end of the 3rd period. The teams fought back and forth in the 4th period with the game coming down to free throws with the Lady Wildcats coming out on top. The Lady Indians are now 4-2 for the year.

The Toombs Co Bulldogs split their games at home with the Bryan Co Redskins. The Lady Bulldogs winning in double overtime on Deavia Howards' last second shot 50-49.

The Toombs Co Boys lost 56-52 to Bryan Co on a 3-point shot by the Redskins with 3 seconds remaining in the game. Carlos Eason scored 25 points for the Bulldogs in the loss.

Vidalia will host Toombs Co this Tuesday starting at 6:00pm. You can hear the game on Your Favorite, 98Q.

The Treutlen Vikings won both of their games at Twiggs Co Saturday night. The Lady Vikings winning 56-38. The Lady Vikings had three players in double figures in scoring Nesha Blair had 16 points, Ajah Harris scored 14 points and Nikita Wicker with 10 points.

The Treutlen Boys defeated Twiggs Co 61-50. Titus Benjamen scored 14 points and Johnathan Madison had 13 points to lead the Vikings in the win. Treutlen is now 6-1 for the season.

The RTCA Lady Crusaders defeated the Southwest Georgia Academy Girls 33-29 at the Coaches Versus Cancer Tournament in Lyons.
