December 14--In Friday high school basketball action the VHS Indians won a pair of region games in Savannah, the Lady Indians defeated St Vincent's 50-37 and the VHS Boys beating Benedictine 61-46.

The Lady Indians improve to 4-1 for the season. Trinity Hamm led the Lady Indians in scoring with 19 points

The VHS Indians improved to 5-0 with the win over the Cadets, Alton McCloud scored 19 points, Ramel Thompkins had 14 points and Jordan Black scored 10 points to lead the Indians.

Vidalia will host Richmond Hill Saturday at 4:00pm.

The Toombs Co Lady Bulldogs defeated the Metter Lady Tigers 69-56. Diamond Boyd had a career high 30 points, Breanna Walker with 17 points and Deavia Howard scored 14 points to lead the Lady Dogs in the region win.

The Metter Tigers defeated the Toombs Co Boys by 30 points, 65-35.

Toombs Co will host Bryan Co Saturday at 4:00pm.

The Montgomery Co Eagles lost both of their games on the road in Jenkins Co. The Montgomery Co Lady Eagles losing 40-29, the Montgomery Co Boys losing 85-74.

In the GISA at the RTCA Coaches Versus Cancer Tournament in Lyons the RTCA Lady Crusaders defeated Faith Baptist 56-38. The RTCA Boys won a pair of games Friday defeating Pinewood 67-48 and Westwood 63-54.
