November 8--  The Treutlen Vikings ended their 2013 season at home with a 35 - 7 loss to the Raiders of Savannah Christian on a chilly night at Bobby Driggers Stadium.

The Raiders set the tone for the night by taking the opening drive down the field to score on a Jack Bush 5 yard run with 8:47 left in the first quarter.  Nick Bateman would add another score on the ground for Savannah Christian with 6:41 remaining in the second quarter to take a 14 – 0 lead into halftime.

Savannah Christian would find the endzone twice in the third quarter on runs of 2 and 5 yards by Wade Benton.  The Vikings moved the ball on offense sporadically throughout the night but could not push across a score until 6:52 remaining in the game when QB Brad Cammack hit Kyle Rosen on a 17 yard TD reception to make the final 35 – 7 in favor of Savannah Christian.

Treutlen finishes the season with a 4-6 record and says goodbye to 13 seniors, several of which were injured throughout the course of the year and couldn’t complete the season.  In a pregame ceremony, the senior players from the Treutlen Lady Viking softball team were recognized as they couldn’t participate in senior night last week as they were in Columbus in the state championship tournament.
