Vikings Run Away with Victory over Panthers

November 1--  The Treutlen Vikings ran for over 300 yards on the ground in route to a 48 – 6 Senior Night victory over the Glascock County Panthers.  Treutlen scored 3 times in the first 4 minutes of the game in a driving rain on runs by Jerrell Woods and Magel Johnson and a 64 yard pass from Brad Cammack to Kyle Rosen.  The Vikings would add another score on a 13 yard run by Woods with 5:36 left in the first quarter to take a 27 to 0 lead.

The Vikings would add two more scores in the second quarter, a 32 yard field goal by Brad Cammack with 6:31 remaining and a 96 yard run by Jaeron Wise with 2:24 remaining before the half.

Wise would strike again for Treutlen with 6:05 left in the third quarter on a 5 yard run to extend the lead to 42 – 0.  Glascock County would finally get on the scoreboard to start the fourth quarter on a 47 yard run by Levi King with 11:33 remaining.  The Vikings would add the final touch with 1:13 remaining in the game when Magel Johnson would break free on the sideline for a 63 yard run to make the final 48 – 6.

Senior Jaeron Wise would gain 137 yards on the ground along with Magel Johnson’s 119 yard rushing.  Jerrell Woods would add another 71 to get the Vikings to 327 yard rushing on the night.  QB Brad Cammack would add another 107 through the air.

The Vikings will be at home again next week in the region crossover game with the opponent yet to be determined.  Kickoff is set for 7:30 and can be heard on Sweet Onion Country 101.7 with Dr. John Pournelle, Blake Dennard, and Jeff Raiford.
